Established in 2018, 23rd Street Station hosts an array of live musical acts, including dueling guitars, dueling pianos, and even a concert violin performance. You can also laugh the night away with “Lafftown’s Funniest,” where you will enjoy an array of stand-up comedic performances. Weekly events include “Ladies Night” on Wednesdays, “Sure Happy It’s Thursday,” and “Sing-along Sundays,” in addition to daily happy hour specials.
Located inside the Holiday Inn Resort Galveston (link back to hotel page), this local nightlife spot was voted “Favorite Live Music Venue” voted as having the “Best Live Music” by island locals and visitors alike. At B. Jiggers Lounge, you will find a monthly line-up of fantastic musicians, on top of fabulous drinks and snacks. Show off your Karaoke skills every Tuesday and Wednesday from 7-11PM as well. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 3-6PM, offering specials such as $5 well drinks, $4 import beer, $6 mozzarella sticks, and more.

With roots as a brothel disguised as a hotel, the Galveston building where Mob Bar now operates is steeped in history. Offering themed events, gangster movies, jazz music, and burlesque shows, this Roaring 20’s inspired locale will transport you back to the Prohibition era. Inside, you will discover tributes to the island’s heyday of corruption, including pictures of several local characters such as Salvatore “Sam” Maceo. Robert’s Lafitte is reputed as the oldest LGBT bar in the state of Texas owned by the same owner. At over 50 years old, Galveston’s original drag show bar offers a comfortable setting where everyone is welcome. Here, you will find a full-service bar with beer on tap and an array of mixed drink offerings alongside pool tables and other games. You can also cool off in the in-ground pool on the patio lagoon bar.
